Easter and Spring:

I just love this time of year. All the pastel colors are so pretty and it means nicer weather is just around the corner. Flowers begin to bud and I love watching the tulips and daffodils in our yard. Sure cheers me up after the long, cold weather. Needless to say, I love decorating the house and yard for Easter.  

I made the Easter/Spring Trees below and I do admit to having gotten a little carried away.  But, I thought you might enjoy seeing them and perhaps will make a tree of your own.  I got this tree from a local craft store. If you are really creative, you might find a nice branch in your yard to use.  The one I used is made of paper and painted white with small little leaves attached.  I took plastic eggs and used those egg wraparounds that come with Easter Egg coloring kits.  I added a few little bears and bunnies, flowers and ribbon to each egg for hanging using that wonderful invention called a glue gun. The base is made of green Styrofoam and I added a little village of eggs, tiny chicks, flowers and birdhouses. I also glued some pink flowers to the branches of the tree as "fill-in".

The tree below is made of metal and coated in white paint.  All I had to do was "set" the eggs in place so I can change them around if I want to.  I bought a jellybean garland at a local department store and took it apart so I could lay them around the bottom of the tree in the basket and added little decorations to make a fun village. 

I hope you will give it a try yourself. It's a lot of fun and makes a cheerful centerpiece for any table anywhere. Nothing like bringing Spring indoors
