Happy Halloween!

Welcome to our Halloween bash! I'm so glad Onyx brought you along with him. I'm Glenda, a good witch, so don't be scared okay? I won't cast any spells on you.  In fact, you are just in time since I'm fixing dinner for my little Gloopies.  Have you ever met a Gloopie?  Of course not since they only come out in the wee hours of the night.  They are rather shy and not used to people.  But, if you smile and show you are friendly, they won't run away so they can get the chance to know you better.

One thing about Gloopyland is that everyone loves to tell jokes, stories and solve puzzles.  So, would you like to play with them for awhile?

Okay then, come with me.

This is where the Gloopies live!  Looks like the place is really jumping. I hope we aren't too late for the party.  Let me introduce you to each of the Gloopies.

Ah ha, I do believe I see one now.  Yup! Say hi to Gwen Gloopie. She loves to play dress up!  Tell her she looks pretty and talk softly.  Remember, they are shy. Gwen loves to tell jokes and since she is all dressed up, I hope you will listen to her jokes and "laugh a lot" to show your appreciation: (grin)

Knock, knock.  Who's there?

All eyes are on Gwen when she dances. Isn't she cute?

How did the little witch learn to cast perfect spells?

Witchful  thinking!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Well here is that little rascal Glen.  I just knew he couldn't wait till dinner before getting into the desert.  He just loves ice cream and doesn't understand why he can't  eat ice cream all day long.  Oh well, say hi to Glen and maybe he will share his ice cream with you.   He would like  you to read his poems about Halloween while he eats.  He would read them to you but he is a little busy right now. (grin)
GOTCHA!
Skeletons in your closet,
They won't let you sleep,
'Cause when you close your eyes
They creep, creep, creep
Right up to your bed,
Moaning, shaking, crying out..
Wanting to be fed.
But you don't have to worry.
Just count from one to ten,
Then sit right up and look at them--
They'll never come again!
~~~~~~~~~

HALLOWEEN STEW

Halloween, Halloween, Halloween stew.

Toadstools and bats, and beetle ears too.

Cow's teeth and rat tails and slime through and through.

Come over for dinner--I'll cook some for you!

(ick)

Here's a Limerick for you......

A librarian, H. Graham Wells,

Thought someone was ringing his bells.

When a witch on a broom,

Flew into the room,

And asked for a good book of spells!

~~~~~~~~~~~
As if that wasn't bad enough, here is another one (grin).....
There was a young woman named Tats.
Whose cooking was done in big vats.
When I went to her house,
She fed me stewed mouse....
Now I know why her friends are all cats!
~~~~~~~~~~~

One more.........

There was a wild witch of the West

Who thought that her spells were the best

So she clallenged her friend to a duel to the end...

Twas a spelling bee laid her to rest!

~~~~~~~~~
I promise, this is the last limerick! Honest!....
A devil sailed west out of Rome
And docked near a volcanic dome.
He said, "Gee, this is hot,
But I like it a lot,
For it sure does remind me of home!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now, be very very quiet and walk very slowly.  We have Gail and Garr here and they are the smallest of all the Gloopies.  Please don't scare them.  After all, if they run away and hide, this page will end up rather blank won't it? (grin)

Well, it looks like they are still here and so are you.  So, would you like to do some puzzles with them?  Great! You've made them very happy. Let's see what we have........
